EXODUS is released through the Italian label ARGONAUTA RECORDS.

Argonauta Records:
"After their stellar and acclaimed performance at WOA 2022 which generated a lot of resonance within the scene, Leipzig-based heavy psych and instrumental trance rock band GODZILLA IN THE KITCHEN reveal full details of their highly anticipated new album EXODUS.
Following their impressive self-titled debut, the band returns with a vibrant mixture of melodical recognizability and rhythmic complexity, Psych Rock in a very genuine way. Highly melodic and definitely with a lot of energy, the new album will set new standards for the underground movement!"

The band says: „We are incredibly honored by the chance to do this. Some of these songs have been stuck in our heads for 7 years and were thrilled to finally unleash them on the world! Exodus tells the Story of a somewhat hopefully post apocalyptic future, where humans have to face a monster that they created themselves.“

„Godzilla In The Kitchen play music I didn't know I needed in my life. Music that stirs the imagination. Music that I would love to play myself. Proggers and stoner rockers of the world unite and join Team Godzilla. You will not regret it.“

„Godzilla In The Kitchen's Exodus is intellectual and passionate, and they don't abandon subtlety for monolithic intensity at any stage. One of the best instrumental albums I have heard for a while. This would have been in my top 10 of the year if I had got to it sooner. “

„Overall, EXODUS is a deeper and forward thinking album compared to Godzilla In The Kitchen's earlier works and shows a band taking more creative and meaningful risks with their music. If you're looking for a more daring Desert/ Stoner Rock sound with menacing purpose to it all then this is the album for you. Excellent and Highly Recommended.“

„"Heavy Rock" is written on the label of the Leipzig trio in curved letters and yet Godzilla In The Kitchen is so much more. With riffy elemental force and bone-dry drumming, one heaves here on "Exodus" already in shores of headbanging ecstasy, but there is so much oblivious rapture at the start, that especially in the stoically casual instrumental passages, which are especially in long tracks like 'The Future Of Mankind', 'The King Of Monsters' (just) and 'Everything That Has Been Given' space is given, a certain psychoactive effect develops.“

„Their use of Godzilla — not named in the songs, but in the band’s moniker, and usually considered the “king of monsters” — as a metaphor for climate change is inventive, but even that feels secondary to the instrumental exploration itself here. They may be mourning for what’s been lost, but they do so with a vigor that, almost inadvertently, can’t help but feel hopeful.“

"Not only from an instrumental point of view GODZILLA IN THE KITCHEN have a thoroughly exciting album at hand. Since instrumental music is perfect for stimulating your own imagination, there will probably be many different versions of the story behind "Exodus" in the end."

"The song that flattens me the most is in the golden mean: "The King Of Monsters" evolves into dynamic resting phases and brute neckbreakers, wanders down your body and makes your joints flap, what a board!"

„There is no lack of progressive developments and certain flirtations with post-rock standards in an album to be tasted from the calm with dim light and a good glass of wine. Although this statement may induce a wrong content, yua that their crunchy and monumental riffs are also capable of creating a wall of sound that will crush you.“

DoomCharts

„Godzilla in the Kitchen cooking up a storm, these jams are manna from heaven...”

"This album is masterfully done. Its a complex and intriguing Album. Every member of the band performs at their absolute best. The album is ABSOLUTELY ON POINT. Overall anyone who has a good understanding of music, or plays music, will definitely appreciate the complexity, ever changing odd time signatures, ambient sound and overall musical prowess on this album."

Metal Division Magazine

"The album sparkles with energy and joy of playing, immediately catches the ear and has such an infectious effect that it is impossible to keep your legs still. This is ensured by the driving mixture of psychedelic and progressive rock."

"All the instruments sound clear and complex, I do not see anything that could be changed or made better because the whole album sounds top-notch."

HeavyMetalWebzine

"The three musicians are brilliant and switch roles naturally, alternating between songs grounded in bass turns and with the guitar and embroidering atmospheres and colors and vice versa."

"Di Simone Catena: „The trio focuses its attention in versatile work, creating a well-defined imprint in broad and dreamy experimentation."

Progressor

„With "Exodus" we get a concise production where the compositions explore the development from gentler progressive rock territories towards a more dramatic progressive hard rock and progressive metal conclusion either by way of gradual development or by more of an ebb and flow approach.“

„GODZILLA IN THE KITCHEN plays on the atmospheres and on their variations, sudden or progressive. Not constrained by the sempiternal alternation verse-chorus, the three accomplices take their time to install sequences and to make them evolve subtly.“
