About the album itself:
When the first demos were created together with Thiago Presto in 2024, a new feeling began to emerge. Something had changed. The dynamics, the drive, the energy were noticeably greater. Guitarist Eric Patzschke eventually summed it up perfectly: “We sound much heavier and more aggressive than before.” An honest moment that set everything in motion. With the demos in their luggage, the band sought a second opinion. Andy Schmidt, known for Disillusion and his work as a producer, listened to the material. His reaction came without hesitation: “Start singing already.” What began as a simple suggestion became the spark that ignited everything. The instrumental era was over. Simon Ulm took on the challenge and immediately embraced the new freedom. Lyrics and vocals developed surprisingly organically. Suddenly everything fell into place. Global events provided the fitting backdrop, the themes practically demanded attention, and ideas turned into songs with a clear stance. Groovy riffs meet melodic passages that merge with emotional yet aggressive vocals. In their own Kuntergrund Studio, the band finds its place within alternative metal while naturally integrating its roots in stoner, progressive, and psychedelic rock into a distinctive, analog sound. Andy Schmidt supports the band with the arrangements. Driven by the ambition to constantly explore new musical paths, Termination Sequence took shape as a work of eight distinct tracks. On the album, Godzilla In The Kitchen present a massive sonic landscape that hits with force while still leaving room for subtle nuances and compositional depth.
